JOB OPENING
Rotating-Shift Caseworker
Spanish-English bilingual a plus
Haven House, Inc., which provides domestic violence services and shelter for all of Sandoval County, has an opening for an individual to fill Caseworker shifts on varying days of the week and times of day, as needed. Between 20 and 40 work hours per week.
Requirements: College degree (preferably in a human services/social services related field) or high school diploma/GED plus one year relevant experience. Skills in interviewing and written documentation and record keeping. Must be extremely reliable, prompt, and possess an excellent sense of staff-client professional boundaries. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, on varying days, evenings, or weekends; willingness to occasionally work overnight shift a plus.
Job duties: Handle incoming calls from domestic violence victims/survivors, do telephone and in-person intake, do client service assessments and service plans, coordinate individual clients’ services, provide information and teach life skills, and refer clients to partner agencies. Also must carefully record and document all client services in standard formats.
